Well, my beautiful iMac is in the shop being fixed. I started having problems with email last week (which is why I've been slow to respond thereto) and at the same time, the optical drive doesn't seem to be functioning as reliably as I'd prefer. So I took it to the San Fransisco Apple Store yesterday and spent the afternoon demonstrating the subtle problems, until finally, at around eight last night, they understood and said they'd replace my optical drive (for free) but it'd be away for 10 days. So I have very little access to the net for the next two weeks.
